I took an unexpected half-hour detour after school today.
It's been a grueling week of midterms and term papers, and I think an excursion was just what the doctor ordered.
True, the journey wasn't long--a few friends and I walked to the middle school and danced around with an Ipod and a camera, so happy to be out of that stage of our lives. Still, the spontaneousness and hilarity more than made up for the lack of excitement.
Take an afternoon adventure of your own. It doesn't have to be big--take a walk to a new neighborhood or drive to a local spot of interest, no matter how mundane. It feels good to do something new and unexpected.
