I usually don't read sci-fi/romance novels. But this one caught my eye.
"Twilight," by Stephenie Meyer, is about a teenager named Bella, who moves to Seattle to be closer to her dad after her parents divorce. During her stay, she falls in love with a boy named Edward Cullen, who seems to want nothing to do with her. Curious and aggravated by him, she learns a deeper, darker secret.
For the most part, I thought the book was interesting and different. Not, like, bad different, but new and refreshing. I always read books that end the same way or have a similar story line. It was nice getting something out of the ordinary and unique.
I liked how the author used darkness and romance, and intertwined each with mystery and suspense. I thought she did a great job with balancing both.
The romance was pure, and the depression was dark. But overall I thought it was excellent; I can't wait to buy the sequel, "New Moon."
