Whites will be minorities by 2050

By the year 2050, whites will no longer be the majority race in America. Maybe there will be scholarships available for white students then?

what's that suppose to mean?

That kinda came off a little wrong in my opinion, but it is a great thought. Would you care to elaborate?

I agree because I would like to know what this mean instead of just throwing out like that!

Go ask for scholarship information from your guidance office, you'll get it.

Hey Dylan, you didn't really answer Jon, Shantia or the anonymous readers' question.

I'm sure anyone (regardless of skin color) who heads to their guidance counselor and requests scholarship information, will be able to get some help.

Do a quick search on Google and you'll find scholarships for everyone from bagpipers to duck callers to tall people to left-handeders.

If you're looking to start a conversation about the fairness of financial aid or affirmative action, you should be prepared to followup on your assertions.

I second Sue's comment. I earned nearly $15K in scholarships by working hard and researching. If you're having trouble earning one, chances are you need to do more research or work closer with your guidance counselor.

I was implying that there are typically more scholarships for minorities than for white students. I know white students get great scholarships, and this isn't a product of my own experience, it was just a social statement.
I won't say anything in regards to the fairness of affirmative action, because it's not fair at all. Any consideration of race in any college admission decision (or any decision for that matter) is discrimination. As for financial aid, most schools admit on a "need-blind" basis.
