Award-winning high school journalists

The Pennsylvania Nespaper Association honored student journalists today during the Keystone Press Awards Luncheon.

Features Editor Buffy Andrews attended the luncheon, and she was very excited to point out that our very own Teen Takeover staff member Abigail Stollar (AKA Abby) won second place for features stories for an article she wrote on her school cafeteria in The Rocket Star, Spring Grove Area High School's student newspaper.

Congratulations, Abby! We're very proud of you.

There were plenty of other area high school students who are excelling in journalism, too.

- Vannity Trautfelter from Red Lion Area High School received an honorable mention for a public service/enterprise package in The Leonid.

- Kaitlyn Wallace from West York Area High School won second place for a personality profile she wrote for The Paw Print.

- Jesse Lutz from Spring Grove Area High School won first place for a sports photo he took for The Rocket Star.
