The Paper Is Wrong...Again.

It hasn't been the first time...

I am listed as attending Central York High School for writing the article about the Counting Crows' new album in this morning's paper.

I would like to say more than ever that I am a senior and a member of the York Catholic High School Class of 2008. YC has been on the cover of YDR for two days in a row about at underage drinking party. LET IT GO. Now three outstanding athletes have their picture in the paper that they have drunk under age.

The media is blowing this out of proportion. I have seen the comment posts on YDR's website about the after prom party. Most of these posts are out of line. Comments like,"Catholic kids are bad news"
This is completely ignorant and uncalled for.

My classmates are good people. They just wanted to have fun. I'm not saying its okay what they did, because it is against the law. Get off our backs. People are acting like every senior at YC are nothing but drunks. I'm not ashamed of being good friends with some of the people who were caught. They made a mistake. Lets move on.

Good points, Alex. It's only another media attempt to show that teenagers, regardless of who they are or where they go to school, are bad news.

Well I go to York High and my best advice is just to not mind it because you know your classmates better than any reporter. Welcome to the world of York High students everyday lives. We always have what goes on blown out of proportion and people judge us based off of that. Just let people talk

Very nice blog. And yes, the media, especially the YDR (ugh) loves when they have a chance to make teenagers look bad. :(
