Since age 13 I think I have been hooked on the show Sex and the City.The big city and frivoulous lifestyles initially drew me in. When I heard there was a movie coming out, I was hesitant.... I mean, did you see the Brady Bunch movie? Eekks! So on opening day, my 3 friends and I went and got pedicured and manicured then packed into the loaded theater to enjoy our girls night out.
To tell you this was a good movie, I would have had to see it once, but to tell you it was excellent, I'd have to tell you I saw it twice...and I did.
I laughed, I cried, yadda yadda yadda. The plot fits every viewers attitude: the heartbroken, the romantics and the determined love-seekers. The most exciting thing of seeing it opening night was seeing all the different women in the theater. They came from age 16 to age 70, but each was the same: They came in packs. I did feel sorry for the man or two in there though.
So after writing this, I question if I really wrote a review, but I'll say this: I left the theater both times feeling fortunate having my girls and encouraged to seek such a lifestyle being a column writer in the Big Apple while searching for love. Ladies - go see it!
A bunch of us from work went and loved it. I had never seen any of the shows, but I still really liked the movie. Now I have to rent the seasons and see what I missed!
