I was supposed to camping with some of my friends. However, we did experience some difficulties.
It rained all morning on the day we were supposed to go. We decided to tough it out and go to the camp site. When we arrived it was still raining pretty hard, but we thought it would blow over. We would set up the tent and come back later. However, when we went to set up the tent, the only place big enough to fit it was suddenly a lake of water. When we checked the weather and found that it was supposed to storm all night, we figured it probably wasn’t worth it. In the end, we camped out in my friend’s living room. It wasn’t exactly what we had planned, but it was still a ton of fun.
Madi, I’m sorry to hear your first camping trip was a bust. That happened to my friends and me once, only we camped in the rain. I woke up in the middle of the night and realized I was sleeping in standing water, it was miserable. We got up at 6 in the morning, packed up and went home. Better luck next time.
I love camping and it definitely puts a damper on things whenever the trip is in jeopardy because of sucky weather. But I camped out two weeks ago in Yoe, near Dallastown, with a bunch of friends and we had an awesome time. It was just too hot…somewhere around 85 at night! We didn’t even need sleeping bags. But yeah, better luck next time Madi, I’m sure you’ll go some other time and have a blast.
