Hi. My name is Laura Detter or sometimes known as LD or Detter. I am a sophomore at Susquehannock High School and I live in the sleepy town of New Freedom.
My favorite music artist is John Mayer.

I once saw him in Buffalo, New York where I was three rows back from the stage. It was one of the best experiences in my young life. He actually unbelievable waved to me because I was standing at the gate screaming his name. I have also seen The Goo Goo Dolls, Hellogoodbye, Cute is What we aim for, Dave Melillo, Jesse McCartney (back in the day), and John Mayer twice in concert.
I play the guitar and flute. I began to play the guitar in 7th grade and took lessons for about 2 years after that. My favorite song to play on the guitar is "Slide" by The Goo Goo Dolls.
I am also an athlete. I play both volleyball and soccer for Susquehannock. I spend almost the entire year playing sports because I not only play for the school, but I also play for Club/travel teams.
I enjoy traveling. I have been to Niagara Falls, Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio, Florida, New York City and to Pennsylvania's neighbors. I recently got back from a Caribbean cruise where I visited Key West, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico.
In 15 years I can see myself living in New York City with a career in journalism. Teen takeover is a great experience for me to begin my career in journalism.
