Lions and Tigers and Pianos, Oh My!

Any Southeasterners have opinions on that fancy new Steinway you're getting?

When I picture the board's meeting in which they decided to buy a $97,000 piano, it goes a little something like this...

Judy: Okay, I'm running the numbers...ugh! We still have $97,354 left! Come on people, what else could we add?
Randolph: Judy, let's face it, we've thought of everything. We covered every department: sports, learnin', extracurricular sports, special learnin', pizza and nachos for lunch, underrepresented sports, and extra special learnin'. What else is there?
Trixi: Well, I guess there might be other departments, right? I think? What's that one where the kiddies throw paint on paper and stuff?
Judy: You mean, like, art?? Nah, we gave them paint and crayons. What else could they need?
Jerome: Yeah, Judy's right. Artists don't need anything else. Wait a second, what about that thing where you throw away your plastics and stuff but they don't go to the normal trash place?
Frank: You mean like, resickeling? Nah, I heard that's just properganda.
Randolph: Oh, what about that kind of class where smart kids can take it and maybe get college credit? I think it's called the Apple, or Appalacian, or AP-somethin'.
Judy: Do we really want our kids to go to college? Randolph, come on. Let's be serious.
Randolph: Sorry, Judy...it was just an idea...
Frank: What about them theater folks? They might need a director for next year's musical. This year's didn't turn out so well, did you see it? They did the Lion King but without any costumes or words or music...it was strange.
Randolph: I'm not too into theater...

(others mumble in agreement)

Jerome: Hmm...well...what about that thing where you play somethin' and a sound comes out?
Trixi: Ooh, ooh, I know, I know! Muhsick! It's called Muhsick! My cousin used to be a muhsickin. I liked listening to her play Chopsticks on the piano.
Randolph: Well then, let's just give 'em a new piana! Like one of them good ones, ya know? I think I saw an ad for a piana that costs around $97,000! We could buy it!
Board in Unison: Yay! All our problems are solved!

Maybe? Well, probably not. But I still wonder where even a fraction of that money could have gone. Anyone else?

Thought it was Southwestern?

Just checked it out, it was actually South Eastern. We were each half right.
