Yesterday I went to downtown Chicago for a food festival called Taste of Chicago. You got to sample foods native to Illinois and the great city.
I almost became sick, just from all the food I had. There was goat, cheesecake, noodles, calamari, shrimp, pizza, and other interesting foods. My aunt took my mom, dad, and I to Lake Michigan and a giant reflective bean. It's a statue that is in the shape of a jelly bean, and is a giant mirror. I took my picture in it a couple times.
Today we set out for Alliance, Nebraska, the reason for this whole trip. We haven't been out to see my mom's side of the family since I was in kindergarten. I'm staying in a Holliday Inn until checkout at 11 am tomorrow morning. I'll post pictures later.
