Boston vs. NYC

Move over, Big Apple: Beantown has stolen my heart.

I've loved NYC since the first time I went when I was six. I imagine I'll always have some affection for the place.

But over the summer I took a trip to Boston, the land of tea parties and Harvard, and fell in love with the city. Never mind that I can't stand the cold, or that it's eight hours away. I was charmed. Everyone was pleasant, it was clean, the architecture was beautiful...

On the way back, we stopped in good old NYC. In contrast to Boston, the city seemed crass. There was garbage everywhere, people were short with us, and eight million people crammed on an island didn't seem like such a novel idea anymore.

Any thoughts? Anybody sway one way or the other on this?
