York College Chorale

| | Comments (0)

Composed of 90 members, the York College Chorale, or chorus, has been in existence since the establishment of York College in 1787.

Because chorale is offered as a class, any student at York College, regardless of major, can become a member if he or she enrolls.

Under the direction of Grace Muzzo for the past six years, the York College Chorale performs a variety of music, ranging from baroque through contemporary works.

You can hear the chorus perform its annual holiday concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, in York College's Collegiate Performing Arts Center, 441 Country Club Road, York.

A few of the works they will perform include "O Nata Lux" by Morten Lauridsen and "Children Go Where I Send Thee" arranged by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory.

They will also perform a piece with the York College Wind Symphony: a 60-piece symphonic band directed by Wayne Romer.

The event is free and open to the public.
