"House, MD" Still Keeps Things Interesting

I hope the multitude of "House, MD" reruns on the USA Network hasn't distracted you from the brand-new episodes showing weekly on FOX.

What I've always loved about this show is House's sense of humor. He is undeniably funny, and while he can be a real pain in the you-know-what, in the end, you've just got to love him.

Sure, the show has the predictable formula, but the writers keep the story arcs, the character interactions, and the medical aspects so interesting it's easy to ignore.

Of course, I think the best episodes are the product of the writers breaking out of that formula, such as the Emmy-winning season one episode (and my personal favorite), "Three Stories," which features House leading a lecture about diagnostic medicine (and, oh yeah, features Carmen Electra, gentlemen).

Lucky for us, the current season also featured such an episode, "Last Resort." Except this time, it involved a man who was so desperate to learn what was wrong with him that he took hostages until House (defused the situation) figured it out. Quite the episode to keep you on your toes.

This fifth season of "House, MD" has the same familiar and delicious flavors of past seasons,as well as refreshing new content to keep viewers interested. Catch it on FOX on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
