Cheerio from England!

Hello everyone! How strange it feels to be writing before going out to dinner, while back in York, it's just past lunch!

Ha, wow, you might think. She's in London and went to Paris just yesterday, and the first thing she can think to talk about is the time difference? True, that seems a bit off, but it is one of the things that has struck me as most peculiar about England. It's light outside practically from 4 am til 9 pm, and the common dinner hour seems to be 8 pm if not 9. But in the short three days (actually, the first day was rather long, not having slept for over 28 hours) that I have been here, it's been pretty easy to adapt.

But enough of that already... What about the sites?! Yet, as much as I would love to perfectly and poetically put into words all that I've seen, really all that I can offer is for everyone to join me over here and see it for themselves (just charge it to my account...kidding). There's something special about Europe, something that you don't see in the cities of the US - something that you have to witness for yourself rather than listen to someone explain. I think it has something to do with the building designs and city layouts and the people that fill them. One things for sure, I wouldn't feel terrified taking the London subway (tube) by myself - something I can't quite say about New York. I am very fortunate that my parents decided to fork over the dough to take this trip, because it really is a unique experience. Photos are the best I can do as far as explanations come, and I'll hopefully be able to share some of those eventually. But until later, Peace out from England, and the Queen sends her love.
