Why are we so obsessed?
Because when we read these books we thrown into a whole other world that's not our own. We can lose ourselves, fantasize, and enter a place where we can shun the outside world and create our own.

Many books can ignite our imagination and there are plenty of hot hunks in books girls fall all over.
That's just it.
Everyone has their own obsessions and their own taste.
So maybe one wouldn't understand why we'd like characters like Heathcliff, Romeo or Edward. Some would probably disagree to put these three in the same category.
But that's just it.
It's our obsession and our taste.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
That's just how it is.
