Top Five Websites (in no particular order)

1. Facebook.com
You can always find people you know on Facebook. Plus, there's a chat feature that's pretty handy. Finally, there are many addicting games on Facebook that are good time-wasters.

2. Imdb.com
Imdb stands for Internet Movie Database. It's just that and more. People who casually use Imdb usually use it to see who plays that one guy from that one movie. There's also a discussion section for each movie, actor, and other people involved in making movies.

3. Rateyourmusic.com
Rateyourmusic is similar to Imdb except instead of movies, it's a database of albums. Here you can see all the CDs or downloaded music you own in one place. There's a pretty good recommendation system, unfortunately you can't listen to more than a few seconds of any song. That's where the next website comes in.

4. Pandora.com
I'd heard about this site for a long time, but only recently started using it. You type in one of your favorite bands or songs, and Pandora gives you a station where you can here songs that are similar. I've been on this website nonstop for the last couple of days, and only a handful of songs I didn't like were suggested to me.

5. Escapistmagazine.com
Apparently, there's a magazine called The Escapist. I'm not really sure what it's about, but the website is cool. It's a basic message board setup where people discuss video games or whatever they want. So why is this website on the list? The people on the message boards. They're all pretty smart, and there's little-to-no bashing of other participants. Awesome site if you get the time to check it out and know the regulars.
