The York Fair is back and Barney Fife has come with it. Deputy Fife walks around and interacts with the people of the fair. He is very inconspicuous and quiet.
However, his friend and fellow deputy, Gomer Pyle, is the exact opposite. He is loud and annoying. Everywhere we went, Gomer Pyle was behind us yelling the phrases "Golly," "Shazam," and "Surprise, Surprise." Even though having Gomer Pyle and Barney Fife at the fair is an interesting idea, the man playing Gomer Pyle took his part too seriously.
It did seem like he was following us around. I think that the Barney character was busy flirting with the food ladies.
