Possessed soda machines

ScottMokrisSometimes when I am at Weis, I buy a Cherry Coke from the vending machine. Although I don’t like spending money, I like to get a Cherry Coke every once in a while. Lately, however, I have been unable to buy my soda.
At first the soda machine was simply rejecting my dollar bill. I thought that this may just have something to do with the fact that my bill was old, so I tried a newer bill and it worked. The next time I went to buy a soda the machine would not take any bill I tried. For some reason, the machine was not pulling the dollar bill in. I tried on several other occasions to get a soda from the machine, but the same thing happened.
Finally, I tried to beat the machine’s defective dollar bill slot by using three quarters instead. I personally thought that this was very clever. But as soon as I put the quarters in the machine, they fell straight into the spot where the change is given out.
After this happened, I knew something was wrong. Obviously, this is either a possessed soda machine or some sort of conspiracy by dentists to stop people from drinking sodas.

Or, it could just be a defective soda machine. That’s probably what it is, but the other two options sound better.

Still prefer the Cherry Coke from the old “soda fountains” where they actually put the cherry syrup in the coke. Maybe we’ll buy a six-pack.
