June and July of 2011 came and went without the release of the newest iPhone from Apple. Every iPhone after original one has been released some time in that two month period each year.
So what happened this year? Apple released a white version of the iPhone 4 in April, so that indicated that they weren’t going to release the newest iPhone in the usual iPhone slot. October is the rumored release time for a new iPhone, the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S.
There is a lot guessing about what these phones will look like. If Apple releases an iPhone 4S then it will probably look the same as the iPhone 4 but have some upgraded hardware features such as a higher resolution camera. But what I am hoping for is an iPhone 5 release—a whole new iPhone that’s thinner, lighter, has a bigger screen, a better camera, and is available on ALL of the carrier’s networks. We should know in a few weeks.
