Last weekend an eighth grade boy was caught with a knife in the York Galleria Mall, and police are making new curfew laws in the mall. Teens younger than 18 must be with an adult who is older than 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. It has caused outrage from many teens in York County who hang at the mall during those times. Police say whether you are legal to drive and have money or not you will be carded and asked to leave. It does not matter if you are causing a problem, all teens must leave. I feel like this new rule is ridiculous. The rule should not apply to 16-year-olds who have their licenses and money to spend. It is not fair that teenagers should be punished for one bad apple.

well the mall rules are a big joke and so is the security and the management. We just had a flash mob there and kept the music down. Had a crowd around us up and down stairs, but no security. The flash mob consisted of 10 kids and they danced for about 5 minutes. we video taped it and yelled and clapped along. It was for my daughters sweet sixteen and she was laughing and yelling loudly, still no security. we finished, clapped again and hugged. We all gathered along with the crowd for another 5 minutes or so and still not one security person. By the time we were up the escalator the 2 security officers looking dumb founded and there manager just started looking down from top floor to the spot on bottom floor where we were. I would say the problem lies in securities response time and mayhttp://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1070949399be just plan lack of knowledge on how to control a few bad kids so the mall doesn’t turn into the prison they are trying to make it. My advice, lift the rules and hire a whole new security company.
