Elle est Elle!

(Excuse the cheesy French header.  Translation: She is Elle!)

Who is thirteen and a rising fashion icon?  Who described the Spring 2012 Louis Vuitton season with, “They looked like little cupcakes and pastel pastries—so pretty!” and is close friends with the Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte?
If you guessed Elle Fanning, you are correct!

The younger sister of Dakota Fanning, Elle can be seen in movies such as “Somewhere” and “Super 8″, as well as the recent release “We Bought a Zoo”.  She is far more than meets the eye, which is saying something, as she is already charming-looking (Could it be the sparkly Rodarte pants?).  She has recently been featured in Teen Vogue, as well as Marie Claire and Rookie.  Alexa Chung has confessed her obsession with the younger Fanning, along with Marc Jacobs and Jane Keltner de Valle.

But what is so fabulous about Elle?  I know that I already sound like some kind of teen magazine, gushing about how awesome and magical she is, but there is more to her.  She is bringing something new to Hollywood.  instead of just choosing the prettiest dress, she is choosing interesting things, and she is actually interested in them!  She knows her fashion and has other interests (Marilyn Monroe Barbie dolls, for example) that are really popping up in a certain part of this generation, which makes her not only curious and appealing to the Rookie crowd, but, just because of her odd ways, almost anybody.  She makes you wish you were her best friend, and she is thereby helping to create and weird part of our generation.  She has become a role model for many girls, and she will continue to be.   Keep it up, Elle!
