April Fool’s in March

“OK, I have a confession to make. This question has been on my mind for the longest time, although I was hesitant to ask because I was not sure what you might say. I really just want to get this off my chest and ask you. I guess I just have to know. (Pause) Do you know…the muffin man?”

Good one, right? It is best to try out on someone you are really close to, such as family, good friends or a significant other. The closer you are to the person, the more worried they will be about what it is you could possibly be asking them. The only way to pull of this trick is by keeping a solemn expression throughout the whole thing, to lead them to believe that this will be something very serious. It is hilarious to see the perplexed and anxious faces of those that you tell. When I told this to a close friend of mine, he said that he had to sit down for this and was very surprised that this was all I had to say. The great thing about the joke is you can replace the muffin man question with one of your own for a funny twist.

“No wait! I really did have something to ask you…does he really live on Drury Lane?”

Lol :)
