Food Network’s ‘Chopped’ fast-paced, exciting

Have a craving for a fast-paced competition based around food? Then tune into “Chopped” on the Food Network at 10 Tuesday nights. Chopped consists of four chefs, three judges and four baskets filled with four mystery ingredients. There are three rounds — appetizer, main meal and dessert. After each round, a chef gets chopped (eliminated) until only one chef remains and takes home $10,000.

The chefs race against the clock to prepare a dish for the judges. Each dish must incorporate all of the mystery ingredients. Chopped is high action, from burnt meat, to forgotten ingredients and under-cooked rice. With the cooking times ranging from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, the chefs are to be admired for their fast thinking and quick execution. Just some advice, don’t watch on an empty stomach!
