Meet the Staff: Lucy Cook

Hi, my name is Lucy Cook, and I am a new member of the staff at Teen Takeover. I am fourteen and going to be a freshman at York Suburban High School this year. I play field hockey in the fall and participate in track during the spring. I like team sports because they give everyone a connection, and I get to make new friends. My favorite subjects in school are science and English. I also enjoy writing poetry. I like to create original poetry that does not resemble others’. My favorite subject is science, and I like to experiment with technology and programming.

My hobbies include photography and drawing. I prefer macro, or close-up, shots of nature and other items. I like to show a different side of things through my photography. My favorite things to draw and paint are flowers. I love reading, too. I don’t have a favorite book (there are too many!), but you can check out a few of them here. I love animals; I have a cat named Mystery and a dog. When I grow up, I want to be a pathologist or have a job in the field of technology.

An example of my macro photography.

I am looking forward to being a part of this staff and sharing my thoughts and ideas on various topics and experiences.

About Lucy Cook

I enjoy a good dose of reality television, snuggling with my cat, facebook-stalking, and photography.
