'Book of Secrets' is over the top

Back to solve the puzzles of American history, Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) is on yet another mission to clear his family name in "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," the sequel to 2004's "National Treasure."
Cage joins a stellar cast including Justin Bartha, Diane Kruger, Jon Voight and Helen Mirren.
Together, the team travels the world to prove that members of the Gates family were not key conspirators in the death of Abraham Lincoln. As they travel to destinations such as Paris and London, Gates and his friends luckily find the missing pieces to their puzzles.

New Movie Review

Just wanted to say that I saw JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, and if you are in the mood for an action movie with good special effects and acting, grab $6.75 and head to the movies (matinee showing!!). However, it is no where near up to par with Lord of the Rings or even Pirates of the Caribbean, but do not be dismayed. It's still a good movie.

Speaking of matinee, instead of going to the movies on the stereotypical Friday night, go on a weekday during the day, or else a Sunday afternoon. A ten dollar bill is all you will need for: TICKET, FOOD and DRINK!! If you are at West Manchester, buzz over to Auntie Ann's (yummy), grab a soft pretzel and a soft drink or bottle of water. Knowing how important saving money is these days, it's a good choice.

Get pumped for 'Iron Man'

The 2008 superhero flick "Iron Man" is a box office banger and is definitely going to be a hard movie to surpass. In its opening weekend, it raked in $98,618,668, ranking No. 1 in the box office, and making it the 10th biggest movie opening weekend of all time.

Miyazaki is amazing!

So I watched both Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke in Japanese with subtitles recently.

Amazing! I'd seen Spirited Away before, but in English. I'm happy to say that they barely changed the script, which is something pretty rare actually.

Not only are both of them captivating and are just amazing in more ways than I'd like to go into here, but the symbolism and message in both is really just astounding.

If you like a sense of mysticism and some humor, watch Spirited Away. If you like magic and violence (actually, some pretty hardcore violence), watch Princess Mononoke.

...Or regardless, watch them both anyway.

I don't care if you don't watch anime. Even my parents liked Spirited Away. That says something. Haha.

Sex and the City...THE MOVIE

Since age 13 I think I have been hooked on the show Sex and the City. The big city and frivoulous lifestyles initially drew me in. When I heard there was a movie coming out, I was hesitant.... I mean, did you see the Brady Bunch movie? Eekks! So on opening day, my 3 friends and I went and got pedicured and manicured then packed into the loaded theater to enjoy our girls night out.

To tell you this was a good movie, I would have had to see it once, but to tell you it was excellent, I'd have to tell you I saw it twice...and I did.

'Georgia' does not rule

With an award-winning cast consisting of Jane Fonda, Felicity Huffman, Dermot Mulroney and Lindsay Lohan, I was greatly looking forward to "Georgia Rule."
Unfortunately, I was wrong. The movie, released earlier this year, was a complete disappointment.

"Fracture" fits pieces together

I would hate to be cliché and compare the new DVD release "Fracture" to a roller coaster. That being said, the trite comparison stands. With a talented cast including Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling mixed into a witty plot, "Fracture" isn't your standard suspense movie.
