And we’re counting down...

With league play starting Friday in YAIAA football, Central York coach Brad Livingston likes the way his undefeated team is playing.

On defense, the Panthers have forced eight turnovers and have not been kind to opposing quarterbacks.

On the other side of the ball, quarterback Eric Schwartz and wide receiver Anjelo Kellum have emerged as big-play threats.

When the Panthers open up at 7:30 p.m. Friday at South Western, Livingston hopes his offense ratchets its effort up another notch.

"Once we really get clicking, I think we’ll cause problems for defenses," Livingston said.

For Friday’s game, Livingston is focused on South Western’s kicker Drew Snyder, who has one of the best legs in the league.

"We’ll have to play pretty good defense to make sure he doesn’t get in kicking position," Livingston said.
