When Palmeiro made his major-league debut with the Cubbies in 1986, his teammates included Ryne Sandberg, Gary Matthews, Ron Cey, Lee Smith and Terry Francona. Some trivia: Assuming that Palmeiro's career is over (and it should be), the only members of the 1986 Cubs who are still active are Greg Maddux and Jamie Moyer.
It is sad to see outstanding athletes do things which stains the entire sports world. Be nice if we could similar punishement system for politicians.
