Palmeiro's plunge continues

The sad tale of Baltimore Oriole Rafael Palmeiro continues.

ESPN, citing The Baltimore Sun, is reporting here that Palmeiro implicated one of his Oriole teammates when appealing his Major League Baseball steroid suspension.

I'm guessing that Palmeiro, who is still in a whole lot of hot water with Congress, has already seen his last at-bat in the majors.

And despite these numbers, I'm not sold that he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

I do not know what Palmeiro was thinking when he said he did not use steroids, knowing the tests to come would reveal otherwise. Palmeiro was playing peekaboo with steroid testing. Palmeiro forgot that steroid testing is beyond lacking object permanence. He 'may not' get into the hall of fame, but he's got the career numbers to be there.
