Most of the Daily Record/Sunday News sports staff members -- quite wisely -- aren't interested in make public predictions about high school football games.
But I've never minded making a fool of myself in public (which would explain my karaoke addiction), so here are my picks for tonight's area games...
Spring Grove over visiting Red Lion: The Rockets will use last week's win over Wilson as the launching pad for a great Division I campaign.
York Suburban over visiting York Catholic: Easy pick. I'll take a John Knowles-coached team over a squad that lost to Fairfield.
Susquehannock over visiting West York: I have a gut feeling the Bulldogs are going to give the Warriors a major scare tonight. But I'm not picking against the class of Division II.
Central York over host South Western: No area team had a more impressive trio of non-conference wins than Central York. If they win tonight, there might be no looking back for the Panthers in Division I.
New Oxford over visiting Dallastown: Two teams still trying to find their rhythm. There are fewer questions surrounding the Colonials, I think. And they're at home.
Dover over host Eastern York: Hey, the winner of this game moves into first place in Division II for at least a week.
Northern over visiting Greencastle: Although the first three weeks were tough, the Polar Bears are still going to win more games than they lose.
Delone Catholic over visiting Hanover: Hands down, the toughest pick of the night. Non-conference slate didn't tell us enough of what we need to know about these two teams. I'm going with the Squires, who are at home and want revenge for last year's 29-6 loss.
Bermudian Springs over visiting Fairfield: The Eagles will bring the Green Knights back down to earth, a bit.
Biglerville over visiting Kennard-Dale: Canners blanked the Rams last year, 20-0. Talks of this year's Kennard-Dale squad being the most improved in the area might have been a bit exaggerated, it turns out.

Well, at least you picked Dover. My poor alma mater has to start somewhere, right?
So much for your comments about Kennard-Dale huh.
