Tisen Dickson’s sprained right ankle has healed enough for him to take about 85 percent of the snaps Saturday for William Penn against Pius X, Bearcats' coach Matt Ortega said.

Dickson, who injured the ankle Sept. 9 against J.P. McCaskey, relieved Shavell Jones at quarterback during William Penn’s 31-14 loss to Pennsbury Friday. He will get the start this week.

Jones, who rushed for 297 yards against McCaskey, will return to running back.

Bermudian Springs’ rushing attack should get a boost Friday night when fullback Tyler Smith returns to face Fairfield at home.

Smith suffered a concussion in week two against Susquehannock, but coach Jon DeFoe said he is OK to return.

The Eagles will certainly welcome Smith, but they haven’t been idle in his absence. Halfback Ryan Spahr has rushed for 297 yards and two scores so far.

...

Kevin Stump returns to action Saturday for York County Tech against Littlestown, Spartans coach Mike Ketterman said.

Stump, who splits quarterbacking duties with Shea McKibben, missed last week’s loss to James Buchanan.
