Looking ahead to Friday's District 3 Class AAA football playoff game between York Suburban and Muhlenberg, one coach who can offer some unique insight is Dover's Steve Stambaugh. Dover played both teams, losing to York Suburban, 27-14, and Muhlenberg, 41-0.
Stambaugh's thoughts on Friday's game:
"I think Suburban matches up very well with Muhlenberg. I think they have the athletes to keep up with them. (The Muhls) are very quick, but Suburban’s skill players are very quick.I think Suburban is bigger than they are. I don’t think Muhlenberg has a lineman over 240 pounds.
Muhlenberg lost its last two games. I think their psyche is a bit hurt right now and that could play to Suburban’s advantage.
Week in and week out, Muhlenberg played tough games, so I think that might play into their favor.�
