Two years, one race....

The Double Deuce is the annual two-mile run held in downtown York on New Year’s Eve. This festive race starts at 11:55 p.m. on Dec. 31 and leads runners right into the New Year.

The entry fee at this point is $15, and race-night registration takes place in the lobby at One Marketway West on Continental Square beginning at 10:45 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female runners, as well as to the three best costumes.

Race co-director Ray Ricke promises to make this an unforgettable night for one lucky runner, as he is offering up a 1998 Pontiac Grand-Am as a door prize from his Ricke Bros. Auto Sales business.

Call 854-1547 to register, or contact Ricke (755-6199) or co-director Karen Mitchell (764-1181) for more details about the race.
