WANTED: Your Orange Bowl stories

| | Comments (0)

The Penn State football players aren’t the sole story at this year’s Orange Bowl.
We’re looking for your stories, too.
Specifically...
Going to Miami? If you’re traveling south to attend the Orange Bowl, we want to hear your story. Why did you decide to go? Was it tough snagging tickets and making travel arrangements? Who are you going with? Is this your first bowl trip, or perhaps your 20th? What are you most looking forward to with the trip?
In addition, we’re looking for Nittany Lion fans who are traveling to the Orange Bowl and would be willing to spend a couple moments contacting us each day for short journal entries or blog entries for the print and online editions of the Daily Record/Sunday News. Be our Penn State correspondent for bowl week!
Throwing a party? We want to publish your tips on how to throw the grooviest Orange Bowl party. Send us all the details on the bowl gathering that you are planning. What are the best food and beverage choices? Do you have a famous party recipe you want to share? What are good party favors? And do you do anything special to decorate or give your event that special blue-and-white atmosphere? We want the scoop!
Pubs and restaurants: If your business is hosting an Orange Bowl party or event on the night of Jan. 3, send us all the details and we’ll run them in our Penn State party listings prior to the game.
Predictions: C’mon, everyone has a prediction. Send us your guess for the final score and the MVP for this year’s Orange Bowl.

Send your responses to any or all of the above requests to Sports Editor Chris Otto by e-mail (cotto@ydr.com), mail (122 South George St., P.O. Box 15122, York 17405-7122) or fax (771-2009). Please include your full name, hometown and telephone number, so that we can get back in touch with you.
