Jenn Bailey update

After 12 hours of surgery Thursday, doctors were able to remove most of the tumor from Jenn Bailey, the Red Lion sophomore, who has been battling neuroblastoma since October.

Going in, doctors at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center were unsure how much of the tumor they would be able to extract. Fortunately, Bailey's body responded well and they were able to scrape away most of the cancer.

They also removed her gal bladder, as hoped, while preserving her kidneys and liver. Bailey is now in intensive care, where she will spend the next several days recovering.
