Big Saturday for lacrosse

| | Comments (0)

The annual York County Lacrosse Association LaxFest will take place this Saturday at Rexroth Park in Lower Windsor Township.

The event includes five games featuring players from each of the YCLA’s 11 clubs and all levels of play. In each of the games, the clubs will be divided into two teams: a North squad and a South squad.

With the exception of the senior game, each club will send four or five players to represent it in an all-star format.

The festivities begin with a pair of youth games in the morning at 9 and 10:30, but the centerpiece of the day is the senior all-star game at noon, where every senior in the YCLA is invited to play one final high-school match.

A high school all-star game, featuring players from ninth through 11th grades, follows at 1:30 p.m. A middle school all-star game finishes the day at 3 p.m.

The North clubs include Red Lion, the Shooting Irish, York Suburban and West York. South clubs include Central York, Dallastown and the Warrior Lacrosse Club.
