Chance to get excited about Revolution

| | Comments (0)

York’s new minor-league baseball team, the Atlantic League’s York Revolution will hold a free fan festival from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, at the York Expo Center.

The event will feature an autograph session with Orioles Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson and other former major leaguers.

Robinson will sign autographs during a pair of one-hour sessions and will also participate in a fan forum, in which fans can ask questions.

Other former major leaguers scheduled to appear include Tippy Martinez, Dave Johnson, Al Bumbry, Joe Orsulak and Ron Hansen.

Ballpark performers and mascots such as the Zooperstars, Reggy and Krazy George are scheduled to be on hand, and there will also be clowns, balloon artists, face painters, caricaturists, stilt walkers, live music and ballpark food.

There are also scheduled to be inflatables, a rock-climbing wall and other games, including the Orioles Indoor Wiffleball Field, which will host baseball clinics with former major leaguers.
