Daily Record/Sunday News

In case you missed it, there was plenty of excitement and plenty of uncommon occurrences on local baseball diamonds Sunday:
--- Nate Neumann went 8-for-8 in a pair of Windsor victories in the Susquehanna League.
--- Hallam’s Jake Schoelkoph became the first Susquehanna League pitcher to record 1,000 strikeouts and 100 wins with his victory over Stewartstown.
--- In a 1-0, nine-inning Central League pitcher’s duel between Pleasureville and Vikings, starters Joe Lloyd and Kyle Chronister combined for 25 strikeouts.
--- Four of the day’s nine games were decided in the winning team’s final at-bat.
