PSU rounds out 2007 football schedule

| | Comments (0)

Penn State recently filled out the final two open spots on its 2007 football schedule — and it’s not pretty.

Penn State will open the season against Florida International on Sept. 1 in Beaver Stadium. The Golden Panthers recently moved to Division I-A status and play in the Sun Belt Conference. They were 5-6 last year and are coached by former Miami Dolphins quarterback Don Strock.

The Lions also will play the University of Buffalo in Beaver Stadium on Sept. 15. The Bulls were 1-10 last year in the Mid-American Conference. They feature a new head coach, former Nebraska quarterback Turner Gill.

PSU also will play Notre Dame at Beaver Stadium on Sept. 8. The Lions’ non-conference schedule concludes with a game against Temple in Philadelphia.
