Vince Bernardo, a 17-year-old freshman football player at Shippensburg University, died this morning during the team’s first official drill of the 2006 season.
Bernardo, a 6-foot-2, 270-pound offensive lineman from Flourtown, was among the 106 Shippensburg football players participating in the early-morning workout at Robb Sports Complex where the team was conducting conditioning and agilities testing.
