Were we that good? The Lions’ 568 yards of total offense vs. the Penguins were the most since the 661 they put on Rutgers in 1995.

His best game: Junior backup tailback Rodney Kinlaw had a career-high 86 rushing yards on six carries (14.3 average). His previous best day was 50 yards against Akron in 2004.

Getting his kicks: Kevin Kelly’s six field-goal attempts vs. Youngstown were the most by a Penn State kicker since Travis Forney attempted six in 1999 against Michigan State. Forney also attempted six field goals that year at Minnesota.
