ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The football programs at Michigan, Notre Dame and Georgia are being honored on special-edition Wheaties cereal boxes.
The packages honoring the Wolverines and Fighting Irish feature an image of their football stadiums on front and pep bands on the back bottom right corner of the boxes, Wheaties said in a statement Friday.
“We are truly honored to be recognized as champions,� Michigan athletic director Bill Martin said. “We have a proud heritage of championship football, and this is a great way to celebrate that heritage.�
Michigan is the nation’s winningest college football program.
