Give credit to the Denver Broncos

As long as you’re talking up the Bears and Ravens for their dominant defenses, you might as well mention the Broncos.

Through four games, Denver has allowed just one touchdown, something that has happened in the NFL just once since 1940. The Broncos have also allowed a league-low 34 points — an average of 8.5 per game that trails only the Bears’ 7.2 in five games.

Two of the Broncos’ wins have come against New England and Baltimore, so even with flaky Jake Plummer leading the offense, Denver must still be considered a legitimate AFC contender.
