Baseball teams need a lot of talent and a little unexpected good fortune to make it through October. I think the St. Louis Cardinals have found their good fortune.

Weaver’s regular season stats: 8-14, 5.76 ERA, 213 hits allowed in 172 innings.

Weaver’s postseason stats: 2-1, 2.16 ERA, 12 hits allowed in 16 2/3 innings.

Nice time for a resurgence, eh?
