Twelve teams from York and Adams counties have qualified for the expanded District 3 football playoffs, which begin Friday.
The action could get extremely interesting in the Class AAA bracket, where seven of the 16 teams are from this area and the second round, on Nov. 17, could involve as many as three head-to-head matchups.
Those intriguing potential second-round Class AAA matchups are: Northern York vs. Red Land, New Oxford vs. Susquehannock and Gettysburg vs. West York.
