A few hot tickets

| | Comments (0)

If want to see Friday's best basketball game, you better have a ticket.

With first place in Section 1 on the line, Dallastown's visit to Red Lion, always a big deal, is already sold out. We'll be there, but we have a press pass.

So sorry.

But don't fret. The YAIAA has more than one good game to offer.

Start down in Section 4, where Delone Catholic travels to Biglerville for a game that could decide the section title.

The Squires have stumbled of late, losing twice last week. They are not the team that reached the PIAA Class AA quarterfinal last year, but with Rob McMaster and Bryan DeBruin, they're still formidable. The Canners, meanwhile, have free-wheeling Brock Grim trying to win his first title.

On the girls' side, two games stand out.

Central York travels to South Western. The Panthers will be favored, but South Western has already surprised people this season. Playing at home, don't be surprised if the Mustangs do it again.

York Catholic, hoping to run the table, goes to Northeastern. Will the Lau twins, Amber and Autumn have the necessary help to derail the Fighting Irish's plans or does Catholic's fab five (really six) do it again?

Check back for these answers and more.
