Tuesday night’s YAIAA basketball tournament semifinals have been postponed because of the wintry weather that has descended upon York County.
At this point, the games have been rescheduled for the same times and same sites on Wednesday night.
However, YAIAA basketball chair Tory Harvey said it is possible that Wednesday’s schedule will eventually be postponed, too, because of the snow.
If games cannot be played safely on Wednesday, Harvey said the semifinals will be played on Thursday, and the girls’ and boys’ championship games will be played in a doubleheader on Saturday at York College. (Girls’ title game at 3 p.m., boys’ title game at 7 p.m.)
Whenever the YAIAA semifinals are played, the schedule will be as follows:
Girls’ semifinals
Delone Catholic vs. Spring Grove, 6:30 p.m. at Dallastown
York Catholic vs. Eastern York, 6:30 p.m. at Central York
Boys’ semifinals
West York vs. York Catholic, 8 p.m. at Central York
Central York vs. Red Lion, 8 p.m. at Dallastown
