The month of March

| | Comments (0)

March is a great month for sports.

Not just the obvious ones like NCAA basketball’s March Madness, or the start of baseball spring training, but for high school sports as well.

Things kick off the first weekend of the month, with the district basketball and swimming championships. The PIAA wrestling titles are being awarded the following weekend.

The third week of March features the PIAA swimming championships, where several YAIAA competitors will be vying for medals at Bucknell University, as well as the second and third rounds of the state basketball playoffs.

Finally, on the 23rd and 24th, the PIAA basketball championships will take place at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center. The YAIAA has won the PIAA girls' AA title the last four years, so things should get real exciting there.

What a month ahead.
