This has to be one of the more unusual MMA workouts I’ve seen. It looks more like a guy training for one of those strongman competitions you see on ESPN.
Then again, it may be effective for Monson. Go with your strengths, and Monson’s is, well, his strength. And wrestling.
Anyway, check out the video. I especially like the long pole with the red glove on the end to simulate 6-foot 8-inch Tim Sylvia’s reach.
