Local reader comments regarding the battle between the new Big Ten Network and Comcast, which will cost most local viewers the opportunity to see Saturday's Penn State season opener on TV.
I am glad Comcast is 'holding out'. Although I watch all the Penn State Football games and will be disappointed if I am unable to see them on TV, I do not want to pay the additional $1.10 ------- cable bills are too high already!!! --- ANONYMOUS
This is absolutely insane. Here we are 1 week away from the start of Penn State Football season and don't know if we can watch it on tv. Isn't this why we get cable? To be able to see games. We certainly pay enough money in cable bill that we shouldn't have to miss anything. We are a retired couple especially interested in Penn State and it is very disheartening
to think that we cannot watch the games. Isn't it funny that all they have to do is push a switch and within 10 minutes you have a channel. Now, they are saying even if an agreement is reached we possibly won't see the 1st or 3rd game. I should think that the cable company has a responsibility to its customers...after all we are paying their paychecks.
The bigger question is why the BTN thinks it is even wanted by the majority of citizens in "Big Ten country"? Now we have to pave for what was previously free for viewers. I am a diehard PSU season ticket holder for 25 years and am completely disgusted with the arrogance of the Big 11/10. They will not even acknowledge the fact we are in the conference by changing the name, why should I want to increase their revenue (where is it going by the way?) or care about them? --- MICHAEL WAGNER
