Squire mates face each other

York College guard Nick Brady face a familiar foe during the Spartans’ Wednesday night game against Marymount University at York College.

Brady’s fellow Delone Catholic grad Bryan De Bruin played 26 minutes off the bench for the Saints in York’s 84-78 overtime win.

Although he didn’t score any points, DeBruin pulled down two rebounds while playing solid defense in the loss.

DeBruin, a freshman at Marymount, was a sophomore during Brady’s senior season with the Squires in 2005.

He usually plays around about 10 minutes per game for the Saints, averaging nearly one point and more than a rebound per game.

The forward was a YAIAA Division II all-star last season, guiding Delone to the District 3 Class AA quarterfinals.
